I want to make it a Forum for views and opinions on arbitration and mediation and, remember, I focus on practice – on what we do as mediators and arbitrators.

I was an active football referee and used to attend monthly meetings of referees. The best part of the meeting was “Match Incidents” when a referee would explain an incident that happened in the course of a match he/she refereed – a yellow/red card, trouble with the coach, genuine mistakes. We would all chip in with our views. We all learned something.

Get the message? This website is a permanent Match Incidents. You can help yourself and help others by recounting an incident, an occurrence, some good news, some not so good news.

Be brave. Take the risk. We can never be so proud as to think we will not benefit from the opinions of others. We are all in this together.
