They have to be ahead of the game + not trailing in its wake. Fall behind + you never catch up. Once Behind Always Behind.

This is back to bad habits – one of the hardest things to do in life is to boot out a bad habit. A habit is a habit – like putting one foot in front of the other, a good habit. But a bad one – you really need to work on removing it.

It is a mind thing. It’s in your head. You do today what you did yesterday + the bad habit becomes cemented. It does require real effort to change your norms.

But you can do it. Look yourself in the mirror twice a day and say “I am going to change” and then change. So organise your papers; staple them or file them but organise them; organise your read through, organise your note taking. This is a big start. You are on the right path.

Whether you can carry forward this new determination to get things right depends on you. Maybe list the issues + cross refer to relevant documents. Your mind is becoming tidy + you are beginning to feel comfortable with the paperwork. You have to dominate the paper or the paper will dominate you.
